What is Micro needling?

Micro needling is an advanced skin treatment that can treat a wide variety of different concerns and is
suitable for almost all skin types, carried out by a professional licensed skin practitioner using an
electronic skin needling pen, or a derma-roller with a transdermal delivery concept using specially
selected serums to induce and accelerate a trauma healing response to the skin, creating superficial
micro channels which in return will stimulate the collagen & elastin production. Through controlled
trauma-inducing the skin's healing response is the only way new collagen production happens.

What can Micro needling do for my skin and the benefits?

Micro needling is used to treat and rejuvenate the signs of ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, rapidly
reduces deeper set wrinkles, it can help tone and firm the skin by tightening in the skins natural healing
response, it is used for treating scarring such as acne/surgical scarring or any scars on the face and body
alongside stretch marks reduction or overall disappearance. There are so many benefits from micro needling, with fantastic results, multiple concerns can be treated on the same
session.

Micro needling can be done almost anywhere on the Face & body, we can target areas hard to reach or
in awkward places. Is there a scar you want to diminish? Do you only want to focus on one area of the
face? Or body? We can treat small and large areas. Using specialised serums created for micro needling
full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, Stem cell delivery, peptides and enzymes which the skin
recognises and accelerates the action in the cells to renew.

Typically, you will require a series of treatments to have the most effective results. One session will
noticeably plump the skin and give a healthier glow, a fantastic hydration booster treatment for the skin,
if we are focusing on renewing the skin itself reversing signs of ageing or repairing damaged skin,
reducing scarring and pigmentation a course of 3,6,8 treatments over 4-6 weekly interval’s will be
recommended depending on individual requirements and natural healing response to treatment.

Directly after treatment there will be an erythema (reddening) response to the skin, possibly spotting of
blood to the area and maybe some small bruising. Everyone’s skin reacts differently and depending on

the treatment plan itself will depend how deep the needles will go. The deeper the needle depth
doesn't automatically mean deeper the results. We are wanting to see an erythema response to the
skin. The skin will feel tight, warm and have a slight sunburn feel. Downtime of 24/48 hours depending
on client sensitivity. After 3 days you will have some desquamation of the skin. This is where the skin’s
healing response is happening and results get better each day, mostly by week 2/3 results from
treatment are more visible. Using a Hyaluronic acid serum directly after up to two weeks is
recommended for most effective results.

All Micro needling treatments will involve use of an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light therapy directly after
treatment to support & boost the treatment itself but also to help soothe and calm the skin with its own
ability to treat many skin conditions. Aftercare products and an SPF will be applied before leaving the
clinic. Expect redness to the area treated for up to 24-48hrs after treatment depending on sensitivity
and treatment plan. Avoid direct sunlight exposure, use of steam/saunas, swimming, excessive exercise
(No sweating), no make up for 48hrs, Avoid active ingredients for up to 5 days, no exfoliation for 1 week.
Clean pillowcase the night of treatment and avoid touching the skin.
